Its been a busy year so far for Yorkshire Rubber Linings Ltd, Growth in demand has led to the employment of three full-time employees, and for the first time in the companys history, the introduction of temporary agency staff was required. Its hard to pin point a specific reason for the high level of demand over the last 12 months. Perhaps the Brexit effect or the resurgence of the oil and gas industry are factors, or it could be just that Yorkshire Rubber Linings reputation as one of the countrys leading providers of protective coatings and linings is being carried into more diverse markets.
Its not just our shop based services that have grown. We have also seen a significant increase in demand for our site service team. This increasing requirement for onsite repairs and inspections is testimony to our expertise and reliable service. During 2017 the company secured its first off-shore order. Work to replace a rubber lining in a waste tank was successfully completed in September on the Total Elgin platform for our client Stork. Our site service team had to undertake training to achieve the BOSIET and OPITO qualifications required to work off-shore. The platform Superintendent praised the site service team for the quality of their work carried out within the demanding timeframe allowed to complete the task.
